Ryan Ngler - I use this extremely versatile hook everywhere. Offshore or on shore, for everything from groupers, snappers, peacock bass, seabass, this hook has caught them all for me. Most hooks open up because the hook hasn't penetrated to the base of the shank, leading to a wrong placement in the fishes' mouth. I noticed that the penetration is really better with the coating and the hook penetrates deeper until the base of the shank. 

I use this around reefy areas to target coral trout, groupers and snappers. Using a sliding sinker or a bullet sinker, rigged in a Texas rig style, I bounce and bottom hop the seabed with different soft plastics in a tensioned fall.
