Bozles TG Matsukaze - Tungsten Jig
Bozles TG Matsukaze Tungsten Jig
Named after the legendary horse 'Matsukaze' or 'Wind in the Pines', this is one of our favorite tungsten jigs here at EPIC Fishing.
One of the benefits of tungsten is that it's dense, which allows for a smaller profile. The Bozles Matsukaze takes that advantage even further, with an ultra-small body size that can be swallowed whole. It's excellent in bottom contact and has a great fluttering action easily generated by just lifting and letting the jig fall. Perfect for beginners and experts alike.
Bonus points because it's so freaking adorable.
EPIC Fishing Crew Tips:
Ryan Ngler - I love these for shore jigging. The small round profile creates water displacement which entices fishes to bite, while at the same time, the tungsten material helps to cut water faster and also provides extra sensitivity due to its dense nature.
I prefer to use this to target fishes without sharp teeth, like groupers or snappers. The round and small profile makes it easy for toothy predators to cut the jig off easily. I typically let the jig touch bottom, then jig 3 to 4 times above the seabed before letting it flutter back down. The round profile causes a slow-fall type effect that entices fishes around that water column to strike.
As it's one of the most affordable tungsten jigs in the market, I use this offshore and also for my shore-based jigging. It's a great jig to get if you want to try tungsten for the first time!
